Aim:
This course has been developed to enable the delegate working in the 'Pit' at live concerts to have a wider understanding of the hazards associated with working in this role, together with the various issues you may be faced with.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course delegates will be better able to:
List the hazards entailed when working within the 'Pit'
Appreciate the roles and responsibilities of working in the 'Pit'
Identify potential defects with the barrier construction
Visually inspect the front of the stage barrier
Communicate effectively with members of the audience
Identify the early signs of distress within an audience
Extract members of the audience who are in distress safely over the barrier
Appreciate the need for effective crowd management strategies
Effectively deal with crowd surfers
Appreciate the need for first aid training

Participant Profile:
This workshop is designed for security staff who work front of stage at live music venues. It would also benefit venue managers.
